<p>Our mind has to main subdivisions, the conscious and subconscious mind. These two sections of the brain work in conjunction with one another but each has its own role. <br><br>Issues to do with calculations, body movement and coordination and logical comparison are handled by the conscious mind. The subconscious mind, on the other hand, handles what happens rather automatic to use. Good examples are breathing or heartbeat. Based on scientific studies the conscious mind occupies less 10% of the mind, the larger 90% is all for the subconscious mind. </p>



<p>It is in the subconscious mind where you will find personal memories, skills, beliefs and all sorts of life experience or images of something you had seen in the past. Most emotions are triggered by the subconscious mind but there is a problem, this part of the brain can’t tell what is true or what is a lie. </p>



<p>As much as the subconscious mind has a huge significance in our lives it can easily be manipulated. And it doesn’t have to always be in a negative way, you can train the subconscious mind such that it attracts your heart desires. The following is a guide on how you reprogram your mind to attract success and greatness.</p>



<h2>Visualize the success you desire</h2>



<p>The first step if you want to reprogram the subconscious mind, you must visualize your desires. Chances are you are wondering how do I do it? Here are examples to start from seeing yourself in the home that you have always desired, with a happy family and adorable kids, visualize yourself in the dream job you desire or running the business of your dream. By visualizing you will be directing your subconscious mind and will hatch plans to get you to your desire.</p>



<h2>The visions have to be specific</h2>



<p>One thing should be clear, whatever you visualize have to be clear and specific. Our subconscious mind can’t interpret vague or generic visions such as “I want to get rich”, “I want to live a great life”. As much as these are visions, the truth is, they are too general and can’t be quantified. Being too general it becomes extremely difficult for the subconscious mind to take the necessary steps to make your visions a reality. For this to work, the visions must be specific, quantifiable and precise.</p>



<h2>Write it down</h2>



<p>If you want to achieve your dreams rather fast, slip it to goals. These goals should be realistic and quantifiable. You can start off by writing down ten goals as the last thing you do before going to bed or the first thing you do when you wake up. Writing down acts as a reminder to your brain on the things you should do reach your goals. Take advantage of the fact that the subconscious mind has no ability to judge, for this reason, you can visualize things that seem rather crazy to achieve at that moment, trust me the subconscious works in a surprising way.</p>



<h2>Affirmation is important</h2>



<p>These are declarative statements that you make to yourself of which are essential when it comes to reprogramming the subconscious mind. What seems as just repetitive positive affirmations have the potential of becoming self-fulfilling prophecies. Repetitive affirmations have the ability to change the usual neutral pathway in the brain. This helps create a new belief and actually work towards fulfilling it. An example of an affirmation is “I shall use my knowledge and intelligence to create my self-made wealth”.</p>



<h2>Meditation</h2>

<p>The goal is to reprogram the subconscious mind but even as you wait for the change you should start acting as if all your desires have been fulfilled. But it’s not just because of his books or unique style of writing. <br><br>He started writing short stories when he was 12. However, he didn’t get his big break until he got married to his wife Tabitha! <br><br>So that meant Stephen had to endure YEARS of rejection. He got turned down so much that he made a habit of collecting his rejection letters which he nailed to the wall. <br><br>It got to a point where he had to get a bigger nail to hold the letters that continued to pile up. Eventually, Stephen’s rejection letters came with a personal message, telling him not to give up on his dream. <br><br>And when he finally got around to writing the draft for his first book, “Carrie”, Stephen dumped it in the trash because he thought it wasn’t any good. <br><br>As fate would have it, his wife came across his discarded work while she was cleaning up. <br><br>Tabitha urged Stephen to finish what he started because she believed in him. <br><br>With a newfound sense of determination, he finished the book &#8211; and the rest is history. <br><br>If Stephen didn’t have the habit of powering through rejection (and a loving, supportive wife by his side), he wouldn’t have found the success that eluded him for so long. <br><br>While meeting obstacles with a “can do” attitude is an important habit, there’s a handful of other ones that will take you where you want to go. <br><br><strong>Here are the <em>Top 5 Habits to Help You Succeed in Anything You Do:</em> </strong></p>

<h3>#1: Don’t make money the only criteria for success</h3>

Harv Eker shared a couple of priceless insights in his book “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” which made a huge impact on me: <br><br>• “Just realize that no amount of money can ever make you good enough. Money can’t make you something you already are.” <br>• “Money is extremely important in the areas in which it works, and extremely unimportant in the areas in which it doesn’t.” <br><br>Interestingly enough, I came across a Forbes article that echoes the same idea. It talked about the biggest factors that motivate employees. <br><br>Two of them strongly resonated with me: <br><br>• Productivity suffers when workers feel they aren’t paid enough. Worse, they’ll get caught up with feeling resentful towards the company. <br>• Using money as the only reward for performing well tends to backfire. Employees who feel creative when doing a task are more motivated and empowered. <br>Money helps you function on a basic level, pays the bills and lets you enjoy life. <br>But clearly, it’s NOT the sole reason for being on earth. <br><br>And like Eker said, money can only get you so far. <br><br>You know this too. You can want all those things till the moon turns blue, but they won’t happen unless you consciously decide to COMMIT to your goals. <br><br>Most of the time, people don’t get past this stage because they don’t have the slightest clue on how to go about it! <br><br>You need to first visualize your goals in the most vivid way possible.
