It seems like such an endless battle at this point: the battle for men and women to actually understand one another. Men have a tendency to just hide how they really feel under a really thick blanket of false masculinity and machismo. They seem to have adopted a mindset that tells them that it isn\u2019t manly for any man to open up about how they really feel or what they\u2019re thinking about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the worst part is that on the rare times a man actually decides to open up, they often do so ineffectively and unclearly which makes them even more difficult to understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s just a really complicated situation altogether whenever a man isn\u2019t blessed with good communication skills. And it\u2019s an even more unfortunate situation whenever a woman doesn\u2019t have the know-how to actually decipher the many things that her man might be trying to tell her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And a lot of the time, women are given a lot of blame with that regard. Even though you wouldn\u2019t typically consider it your fault that you and your man get into misunderstandings a lot, the truth persists that your relationship has a problem that requires fixing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of you is going to have to make an adjustment. And if you think that your man is just virtually incapable of learning how to communicate more effectively, then you\u2019re the one who is going to have to figure out how to understand him better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, what you think your man is trying to tell you isn\u2019t necessarily going to be what he means at all. And that can be very problematic for two people who are trying to become closer and more intimate with one another. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When he says he doesn\u2019t care, he doesn\u2019t mean that he doesn\u2019t care about you. It\u2019s just that he wishes you would make a decision because he trusts your judgment more than he actually trusts his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a>\n\n\n\n

2. \u201cI\u2019m not really ready to commit.\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s not telling you that he isn\u2019t ready to commit in general. It\u2019s just that he isn\u2019t really sure about committing to you in particular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. \u201cI\u2019m swamped with work right now.\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sure, he\u2019s swamped with work. But what he\u2019s also telling you is that you aren\u2019t as important as the other things that are actually going on in his life at the moment. He\u2019s telling you that he\u2019s prioritizing other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. \u201cCan we talk about this later?\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is code for \u201cI don\u2019t want to talk about this at all.\u201d Any man isn\u2019t going to want to put a conversation off if he gets into it. But if he\u2019s not into the topic, then you can bet that he is never going to get around to wanting to talk about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes, he\u2019s going to be genuinely sorry and remorseful about something. But a lot of the time, it goes so much deeper than that. He might be telling you that he\u2019s tired of the drama and he just wants to get back to a place of happiness with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/a>\n\n\n\n
